About Me: Megan Heirigs
I grew up in Freeman (located only about 30 miles from Viborg) and graduated from Mount Marty College with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Chemistry. I later returned to school and graduated from the University of South Dakota with a Secondary Education Certification in Chemistry and a Mathematics Endorsement. I spent 6 years teaching mathematics at the Human Services Center in Yankton before coming to teach for the Viborg-Hurley School District. This year will be my sixth with the district, and I look forward to a fulfilling school year!
Now, I live on a farm near Turkey Ridge with my husband, Andrew, and our four boys. All of our children attend school at Viborg-Hurley; Ethan is a freshman, Aiden is a 7th grader, Evan is a 4th grader, and. Braden is a 2nd grader. In addition to our full-time jobs, we raise cattle, grow crops, and manage a hog nursery. When I am not busy with school, I enjoy reading, watching movies, and just being with my family!
